A day of mixed fortunes...

Yesterday started out well.  On taking a couple more bags to the charity shop from our house clearing efforts; I thought it was going to be my lucky day, when I saw this lovely pink utility tureen on the shelf:

(Pictured here with a large Jasmine Woodsware jug found on an earlier trip).  I don't often find pink utility around here; so it had to come home with me, despite the need to clear out!

Then sadly, while madly clearing up for the estate agent to come and take pictures; I discovered we had had unwelcome visitors to our sheds overnight.  Bess, our black labrador, is clearly not a guard dog!!  So now hubby is a number of power tools lighter and both sheds needs repairing.  However, not all bad news, as it appears that the burglars had no taste and hence left all my vintage stock untouched.  Thank goodness for that!  Definitely time to move I think.

Missing photos..and Camden Market

I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted!  I've been busy over the last few weeks; with a 2 day Antiques and Vintage fair in Grantham and then shopping and sorting out stock for the Northampton Vintage Fair next Saturday.  In the middle of this, we are trying to clear out the house in an attempt to sell it; which has meant lots of packing and throwing out!

Unfortunately, I lost my phone on Thursday, and with it lots of photos.  So below I have posted some photos of the few vintage items I haven't packed away!

A vintage apron, tea sets and linen.

A large selection of lace and trims.

More lovely vintage postcards.

And a couple of prints I have picked up recently:

Yesterday, before seeing a fantstic ballet performance starring two of my daughters' friends; we visited Camden Market.  It was extremely busy and there were lots of vintage shops and stalls which we didn't have time to look round properly; but my personal photographer took lots of photos of the art in the Stables Market:

All in all, a vintage day!
